Jave (Bambino)
We all have been eating Jave or commonly known as bambino since childhood in our homes.
Ingredients:
- Jave/Bambino - 1-1/2 cups
- Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 tsp
- Cumin Seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 Tsp
- Oil - 1 tbsp
- Salt - To taste
- Tomato - 1
- Garam Masala - 1/5 tsp
- Amchoor/Mango Powder - 2 Pinches
- Water - 2- 1/4 Cup
- Method:
- Roast the jave in a pan on medium flame till they become light golden brown in color. Keep them aside for later use.
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Add cumin seeds after a minute add chopped tomato.
- Add salt, red chili powder, garam masala, turmeric powder and amchoor. Mix well.
- Cook till tomatoes become soft/tender.
- Now low the gas stove. Add the roasted jave (which we kept aside). Mix well.
- Now add the water and mix well. Cook the jave on high flame for about 2 minutes.
- After 2 minutes low the gas stove and cover the half pan with the lid. Cook till jave absorb all the water.
- Your bambino is ready.
- Serve hot and Enjoy!!!
